You are invited to join us on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 for the 5th Annual Dave Kane Memorial Golf Outing at Berkshire Valley Golf Course located in Oak Ridge, NJ.

The purpose of this outing is to join family, friends, and guests to celebrate Dave’s life while enjoying one of his favorite hobbies. Sadly, Dave passed away on August 25, 2021, after battling depression and anxiety.  With the help of family and friends, this annual golf tournament helps remember Dave while raising money for great causes.

In 2021, for our inaugural outing, we were able to raise over $19,000 for Dave's son Colin's College fund and $3000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness.

In 2022, for our second outing, we raised $9,000 for the surviving family of Amanda Neufield, $5000 for the college fund of Dave's son Colin, and $2000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness.

In 2023, for our third outing, we raised $8,000 split between the Comfort Zone Camp and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention charities, $4000 for the college fund of Dave's son Colin, and $1500 on course to help superintendent Nick Karaitis' wife Kristen in her battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

In 2024, for our fourth outing, we raised $8,000 split between the Comfort Zone Camp and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention charities, $3000 for the college fund of Dave's son Colin, and $1300 on course to help superintendent Nick Karaitis' wife Kristen in her battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  Thank you all for your support!

For 2025, all proceeds from this year's event will be going to charity.  This year, we will be splitting the proceeds between the NJ chapters of the Comfort Zone Camp and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

This year a portion of the funds will be donated to the New Jersey chapter of the Comfort Zone Camp.

Comfort Zone’s mission is to empower children experiencing grief to fully realize their capacity to heal, grow, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Comfort Zone Camp serves children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or friend. All programs are offered at no cost to families. CZC provides a safe, nurturing environment where kids can have traditional camp fun, while at the same time acquiring tools to help them cope with their loss.

Since 1999, Comfort Zone Camp has been putting a spotlight on grieving children. Comfort Zone was the first 501c3 bereavement camp in the country. Since its founding, they have helped over 23,000 children.  Their Federal Tax ID # is 54-1916517.  All donations to AFSP are tax-deductible.

Another portion of the funds will be donated to the New Jersey chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

The New Jersey Chapter is fueled by the mission to save lives by providing education and support to the Garden State.

The grassroots work they do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.

As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, they bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize this chapter.

AFSP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization incorporated in the state of Delaware with primary offices in New York City.  All AFSP chapters are considered local offices of the parent organization.

Their Federal Tax ID # is 13-3393329.  AFSP’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) number is 10545.  All donations to AFSP are tax-deductible.
